Picked this bike up as a father and sons project.

Was sitting outside for several years so needs TLC. Lots of rusted bolts and chain.

Stock except  power commander, K&N airfilter, replacement handlebar (original replaced after a Left low side) and carbon fiber mufflers - I think they are Termis.

So far I have drained the oil and gas tank - there was some sediment/separation in both.

Hope I can get her back on the street without blowing out my wallet  waytogo

I want to post pics but dont know how..

Learned how to post it - I am a slow learner

Thanks for help with the pics. I dont know why I cant get the link right  Angry

Lots of work done on the back end so far. Cleaned wheel, lubed and adjusted with replaced chain, rear brake maint, etc.

Got LT Snyders maint book. Going to replace the plugs and belts then move on to the controls and front end maint.

Plan to bring it to Mellilimoto for valves and dyno/tune up.

very nice.

If you end up needing any parts, shoot me a pm. I rebuilt a 2000 900ie a couple years back and also rebuilt my 2001 900ie. I have a number of odds and ends kicking around.

So far I have cleaned and fixed the back half. Will post a pic later this weekend. I finally figured out how to work the photobucket image upload - LOL. Now have posted a pic showing it on delivery in my first post.

Take apart, clean, find what is broken/needs replacement, order new/find used, patiently wait for it to be delivered (beer in one hand and cigar in other while imagining how it will look when done), part arrives - install, move on to next area.  Dolph

Got a few new pics to show the before and after backend progress. The bike has a 41 tooth rear and 14 tooth front sprocket. It was a choice between too long or too short chain  length (I needed 1/2 link off). I may get the cush drive redone and put a 39 tooth back on and the chain will be just right  waytogo

Now on to the clutch and timing belts  drink
