Hi can you help, just brought my first Ducati 750 monster (96) he he excited but as i only passed my test last october think i need crash bungs!!! i went and ordered gsg mototechnik crash bungs, they came and i tried to fit them but the 10mm bar doesn't go through the M10 threaded engine block, is there a special knack to get these on or have I not got the right ones? any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.  bang head

As far as I know, the older Monsters have a smaller diameter engine bolt. 10 mm vs 12 mm.

GSG list the 10 mm you probably need.

Maybe they will exchange them for the correct parts?

EDIT: didn't catch that you got the 10 mm  Huh?

You need to slightly lift the engine to get the new bolts through.
I don't think the engine block is threaded - the bolts are pushed through....

Did you take out one through bolt or one bolt on each side?  If my memory works correctly (iffy) the Pantah motor used one short bolt on each side, not a through bolt.  If so, those sliders won't work.  And, yes, the engine should be supported and lined up with a floor jack.  When you are done, check the back engine mount bolt(s) are tight.

If you can find some that fit, let us know. I've been looking now for a couple of years for some that fit the engines with the two bolts.
