I wouldn't worry about it.

I would report the incident to the police and keep a log of any (hopefully there won't be any) calls.  You probably are not the only one this creep is calling.

Definitly call the police, they should be able to get records from phone company, have had the experiance that someone wanted to extort some money from me, and the cops caught the guy from cellphone records [thumbsup]
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

I had called grio a few minutes before, and thought that might have been her returning my call.

Sorry, but now I have to laugh...its a phone chain

Next victim: "Hello?"
caller: "I hope you don't mind, I got your number from Derby"
Next victim: yes?
caller: [moan.  pant.  moan.]

Seems to all make sense now...
Please tell me it took just a few moments to realize it wasn't me on the other end of the line.  I need SOMEONE to think I'm freaky like that.  ;)

I know for a fact that you can set up your cell phone to reject 'blocked id' calls.  A girl I used to know did that, people would have to dial *82 before dialing her cell number if their ID was blocked.  As far as 'unknown id'  I'm not sure about that one.  I'm assuming your cell is your private cell and not through work?  Get Corey to call and make you an authorized user on your account so you can make changes.

Every cell phone I've ever had came with the option to assign a special ring tone to unidentified calls, or to send them directly to voicemail without having the phone ring.

i know on my phone i can set it up to refuse any unknown call.  it will just show up as missed but will not ring.

just go to the "call settings"  then to "reject list" then it should be somewhere around there.  you may just have to find the owners manual for your phone and see what it can do.

Our phone contract is up in a couple of weeks anyway.  I guess I have some new shopping features to look for!

Good news!  No phone calls tonight...so far.  But my man is home tonight.  So if the phone rings, I'm making him answer it.   ;)

At the very least you can set up No phone number calls to just not ring.
