Yes under $1000 is still GST free.
If you are buying from the likes of BHphoto they won't do any dodgy declarations on value.

Local is always a great idea because if there are issues you have someone to talk too.

The camera is cross between a point-and-shoot and a dslr.
It might not be what you're after, but you're welcome to have a look.

In any case, its a good excuse for a mid week ride.
AND we can rub it into the "mainlanders" that we have perfect weather down here Tongue
