check out (search for) "chipo"s tail chop bracket schematic. It's really easy to make out of sheet metal and will save you a LOT of $$. Bracket that are pre-fabbed are like $100, and a piece of sheet metal is what...$10 at Home Depot?

-I ended up using a different method involving angle brackets, but intially used chipo's schematic + it worked great. I just used metal that was too flimsy, so I had to scrap it.  Undecided

Thanks man.  I have a tiny apartment in NYC.  Not a lot of tools and not a lot of patience to do that.  Would rather just buy the kit.  Thank you though.

Ok, how about this one. Disclaimer; I did my own chop and bracket, so I cannot approve or disapprove to the quality of these products. Link is for info only. But this one is a good price.

Thanks again - I have heard not good things about the Proitalia kit.

On the CW site though, that says 03-07.  I have an 01 so I imagine it will not fit?  I thought CW made a kit that works for an 01 Monster.

I have an 01 Monster and I bought a Competition Werkes kit off of Monsterparts.com just 4 months ago.  Love it.

Great, thanks!  Just ordered it.  I imagine they give you detailed instructions?
