Hi for everyone,

I guess that it isn t very important, but has there are people who change the front sprocket of the M696.
15T for stock sprocket
14T for quicker bike
I hope that I have done the right calculation.

the software used is from:
http://www.racingsm.org/vel.php
(any tech doubt please contact site admin)

I have done for 9000rpm (I guess that its the full throtle on the M696) and I have done another charts for 6500rpm (I think that it is a reliable rpm for engine and biker drive on "crusing" mode on)

I was JUST wondering about these numbers in the shower today.  Thanks for the preemptive strike!

I would highly doubt the 696 can pull 9000 in 6th with the 15 tooth. I bet the top end is the same ith the 14 in real world applications.

in a slop.... why not.

I did it at 9000 because they claim it is the rpm where the max output power is.
and of course the charts are in theory... only by math speed calculation.

But I think that is a good clue about how short will be the bike versus stock sprocket.
and remember that the speed indicate is the "real"... and not the shown at the "tachometer" at the bike...  Roll Eyes

regards to all.

I don't think tacho speed is affected by the 14T mod - at least it is not on the earlier (pre 696) bikes.

An easier way to calculate is that the 14T will make the bike 6.67% "shorter" at any gear, compared to the 15T.
(1/15 = 6,67)

Unless you can hit the rev limiter in 6th, you are limited by horsepower.
