Barry Sheene Festival of Speed

I'm going to indulge myself this weekend.
I'm off to Eastern Creek, to bathe in the musical sounds of single's, twins and screaming fours and feast my eyes on old iron that I use'd to ride.
I'm gunna meet up with some old friends, and meet some new ones, and talk about the great rides we once rode, and the one's that we will ride.
I'm going to indulge myself this weekend.
Feel free to join me.

I'm going to try get out on Sunday - but I've got a visitor in town from the UK, so it might not work out. I'll text you when/if I get there Mick.

Wouldn't this be cool if it turned out like the Goodwood Festival, period bikes and period clothing, it would be fun I reckon.

Oh yeah!! I wish I was up there in Siddley! I'd be there with bells on for exactly the same reason Mick!!
I love sitting on the straight at the Island for the Island Classic and breathing the fumes as these old beasts come thumping, clunking and rattling down the straight at full noise!
I'll have to make a trip north to this meet!!

Yes Mick, that bike is Shauns (D'Moto partner) latest project, he built it up for his trip to last years Moto GP, but didn't want to get it dirty so he stole his wifes 696

I haven't logged in for sooooooo long. Anyway, perhaps I should have prior to the BSFoS. My gf is racing PCRA this year in P6/250 production on an RGV250. No, not a Ducati, but it is a 90 degree L twin. Maybe one day I'll find a kit clutch so we can run it as a dry clutch, too.
We also got a few minutes with a great man.
Not bad since I only bought her the RGV last year, and she only got off her restrictions in December on the road. She's now nearly as quick as me (so I'll have to step it up a bit). Off to EC tonight for Anzac day, in fact... and I'll even be there on my Monster.

You should see the footwear she had for the PCRA 1-hour in Sept last year. Fluffy pink ugg boots. Does get cold at Wakefield.
(She's actually ridden her SV to work with those Docs on before... they were her birthday present last year, for the record, and did get quite a bit of attention at the BSFoS in the paddock).
