Hello all, I have been riding since November 06. This is my fourth bike (red 2009 696 Monster) and by far the best one of all. Hope to take many trips on this bike. First long trip planned is Colorado this summer. My luggage of choice is Wolfman dry bags, wolfman tail bag and a small Wolfman tank pouch (for my push to talk radio) which seem to complement the bike really well! I have taken several small trips so far around 400 miles each and the bike has performed wonderfully! Hope to post a few ride reports soon!

Welcome!!   Smiley

Be sure to post your trip dates to Colorado in our local board ("MHM" - Mile High Monsters) if you want to meet some of the local Duc riders.

A lot of great people and, as you likely know, great riding around here!  There are also plenty of extra beds and sofas and general recommendations for whatever you might need on your trip.

Enjoy!   Dolph

Hi there - if you get up the east coast side of things - give CAM a holler!

I really like those luggages but i can't figure how they fit on monster..
You have some pics of your monster with wolfman dry bags, are they saddle bag??

BTW welcome to the Duc community Smiley

Givi makes the luggage rack. They are the only ones who do. Wolfman makes a system that works with other racks to attach the dry bag to the rack. It's really easy to take the bags on and off. They are saddle bags, they come in bright yellow as well. I love wolfman products. I am wired for push to talk and have a little tank bag for my radio that i don't have to disconnect when fueling. I have a matching tail bag that fits the seat really good and can even go over the cowl if I choose to keep it on. I have a small wolfman duffle when I go long distances that fits well over the back seat even when the saddle bags are on. I use the Givi rack to make the duffle secure to the bike. I can send some links if you need? I will have to research where I got the rack tho.  waytogo

The mounting instructions are straight forward, they mount around and under the seat. There are some bolts that will be replaced with the system. I will go look up the stock number so you can go look and see how the system looks and works.

Just got back from a trip to Salida Colorado on my monster 696. 1000 miles going the scenic route to get there. Rested then off again to play on the mountain roads. Went to Independence pass, Aspen, Red Stone and Monarc Pass. Got back home yesterday made it back home in only 900 miles. Have over 10,000 miles on the bike now. Just love the bike.  waytogo

I was surrounded by BMW's but oh well. It was fun times, would do it again! Bike needed a little more power at that altitude but we got it done.  Vino!
