Nice bike.I too just bought a 2001 M900S,it has the Sachs shock and I plan on changing the spring as it is a cheaper mod, then once it blows I'll get the Ohlins. Also will do new fork springs and gold valves.I really need to add a bigger rear sprocket as it's just plain silly, stock.I took off the belt covers to check belts and a piece that holds the nuts in place had broken off and wedged itself against the belt.Yikes! Well,it was scheduled to go over to Eric at Clubhouse Motorsports for belts and valve adj. anyways.
My last bike (RC51) had a Sato CF HM exhaust, the PO had reversed the cans,I think some people do it to hide the badges so it is not as obvious to the police that you have a race exhaust but on that set-up they were slightly different (not the same part #).
The critters did the same thing to my airbox in a Toyota Tacoma I had.

I did the same thing with my Sachs rear shock...Eric @ Clubhouse changed my spring out for an Ohlins one...helped enormously...

full-adjust Ohlins swap was on my list but no hurry now,

I'll wait until the Sachs pisses out

Still planning to drop the front tubes at the end of some season and have Eric do a full rework of those as well

Me too.I went right to the Akropovic website but they don't have anything for the 2001 M900,not even in the discontinued archives.Could you use one from a similar model? What kind of tail light/blinker set-up is that?

That can be because i made it, with some parts by Sil , someparts by me and a yamaha R6 slipon by Akrapovic
And how it sounds , what do you think bow down bow down

Nice looking bike, you did a good job with the tail light blinker set-up.
Regarding the exhaust,it looks like a 2 into 1 into 2 pipe but it doesn't appear that there is another slip-on on the other side,is this correct? If so what did you do?

Splurged on some Pazzo levers, I just love the Pazzo shorties....

My nephew checking her out in the Toys 'R Us Parking lot.

Lily had to check her out and give her the seal of approval.

Ok, you can keep her. (and yes the treadmill gets used, but the wife had just ironed laughingdp )

And finally, rode to work today (again).  Gave her a good bath over the weekend as well.  Cleaned up the engine cases pretty good.

I pick up my new battery and my CRG mirrors today as well.  Lovin it!

When I rescued her in SC, we were told she was a full pit, but now we believe her to be a pit/boxer mix.  She's 6y/o and I rescued her at 3mo old.  My best friend.  Full grown and about 43 lbs.

Here is a little more background on my baby:

My pitbull "Lily."  I rescued her when she was 3 months old in Charleston, SC.  She's now 6 years old and is still a puppy in her own mind.  Best friend I could ever ask for!

The day I got her:

Shortly after:

SURPRISE ATTACK!

Guarding my bike parts at the apt in Charleston:

Helping me paint Ducati parts:

Cuttin loose on the tennis courts:

Ringing in the New Year:

Dancing with daddy after a long night at the bar:

Guarding the storage unit:

Doing her part in promoting Motorcycle Safety:

Helping me swap an engine in the R6 in the front yard of the apartment:

First picture in our current house after I moved back to TN:

Sooooo many more pics, I can't begin to explain how much she means to me, and now my wife.  She travels with me everywhere!  If I start packing she's at the door....if I leave the door to the car open while loading up for a trip, she jumps in and sits shotgun!  Love her!

Thanks!

Changed the oil yesterday and realized my brake light hadn't been working for the last week, luckily it was just the bulb and I had one laying around:

Today rode up to Shady Valley (US 421 - The Snake) and put in some work scrubbing off the years of neglect from the tires laughingdp

Ate a healthy lunch up at the store:

On my way home from the ride in the previous post, my headlight blew out.  Thank God it was daytime.  So I replaced that.  Also decided to start my fork swap and sold my "S" forks in favor of 998 TIN Showa's.  And of course while having it apart time for everything else I can think of, so I replaced the taillight with an LED smoked integrated light, pulled the belt covers for painting, pulled the clutch apart and found why it's not been engaging as I would like....so new clutch coming along with tasty bling for it, etc. etc.....

Where do you pick up those white straps(?) for the SBK forks?  I can't find the mounting hardware so I haven't been able to stick a front fender on...
