I don't know, personally. Someone here doubtless does.

Also, there may be a shop manual for it here: http://www.duc.nu/manuals/

That would tell you for sure what is supposed to have Loctite applied, and what flavor you should use.

Might want to check out the DesmoTimes manual as well, if you plan to do some of your own wrenching.   http://www.desmotimes.com/maintenance1.htm

(And yes, I realize I just replied to a simple question with "Here, buy some books and look that shit up yourself!" Tongue)

UPDATE

So I just took it in and wow....I have the most professional and courteous dealer one could hope for.

As soon as I pulled up the master mechanic came out and looked at it and was very thorough in explaining why it happened (Bolt just loosened, made joke about italians and that "franco" must have been more worried about his cappachino break. lol) and he wheeled it around back to install a new gasket to be safe and apply some "ducati glue" (not locktite) and re-tourque all the bolts. So I went in the show room and picked out some rizoma track flush LED front turn signals and some PIAA headlight bulbs and had them throw them on while they had it.

So while I'm waiting the parts guy (everyone is uber nice) asks if I'd like to take a demo out for a spin.

Me: why yes...yes I would
Him: We just unboxed a 2012 848evo stealth and installed the termi race kit and are going to turn it into a demo bike....would you like to ride that and break her in for us? You would be the first rider.
Me: Poops pants
Him: I'll get the keys, lol.

So I come back and wow what a smooth ride with the termi system. Its a incredible bike for around town fun. Just a nice bike all around.....

So I walk in and tell him how much fun it was and tells me my bike is done. To which I reply "damn" lol

He throws me back the 848evo keys and says "keep it for the day and ride the hell outta it, bring it back in the morning when we open and pick up your bike"

Me: Poops pants again.

I then got into a conversation with the owner about the comp werkes slip-on exhaust on my monster and he goes and gets the master mechanic and says "Later on today, hook this up to the exhaust gas reader and make sure his bike is running good"

O and they are giving me a substantial doscount on the turn signals because of my troubles. Which I really didn't need. Very classy.

So all in all If you are in the Tampa Bay area and are in the market for a Ducati you would be VERY wise to buy from EuroCycles of Tampa Bay!:)

Loner parked out front of my house...

O and they said they will have a 1199 Panigale demo bike as well:eek:

+1 to Euro Cycles always treating me well too. I bought my bike from them 3 years ago and they still remember exactly what bike they sold me even when I'm in the truck.
They also performed a warranty tank swap for me in an easy and painless manner when others were having many problems with their respective dealerships.

I am SOOOO taking the 1199 out for a spin. Already decided that will be next (additional) streetbike.

They rock man! From sales, parts, service, to owner. They are a different breed of dealer. chug

My local dealer has a very similar mentality. And they have an identical 848 to that as their demo 848...same exhaust and everything. I was >< this close to getting it instead of my Multi hehe.

Maybe next time you'll cut them some slack first?

A great business is made by its support, not its product.

Glad you're happy.

My wife and I stopped at Eurocycles while on vacation two weeks ago to poke around and buy a few t shirts. Awesome place and really nice staff, wish they were closer. Nice shop.
