I have no idea how it cracked, but I now have a crack in my tach and speedometer lens.  Searching, it looks like my only solution is to find a used cluster and transfer the front plate with the lenses.  Is there any other way to fix?  It almost looks like something hit the gauges (when parked?).  I noticed the cracks when riding home from work.

Good luck, i tried forever to find a new bezel for my cool roadracing tach, they are the same size as the DP ones, but I don't think even trying to transfer those bezels would work.  You pretty much have to just buy a new gauge, unless someone says differently.  They are screwed then glued on, so trying to get them off is likely to break them.

Yup.  You pretty much have to find a used one to do it right.  I had marginal luck by taking everything apart, removing the broken bits, dremeled out the crap, and glued in a piece of clear lexan that I cut with a hole saw.  If you're close to the bike you can tell something's off.  Otherwise, it does its job.  Besides, I never look at my speedo anyway.   Evil

I just used a strip off my iphone screen protectors. Can hardly see it and it keeps the rain out.

Remove the lenses, see the link above, and take them to a local plastics company. You can inquire in advance if they sell plexiglass. They should be able to cut the plexisheet to duplicate your lenses.
