I'm a bit puzzled as to why guys are always trying to buy my S2R
![Huh?](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/huh.gif)
. Ever since I got it three years ago every summer I get at least two offers a week. My only inclination is that they are trying to flip it or something I don't know I usually get offend and write the guys off as morons. I find this sort of behavior extremely odd maybe I'm a bit nieve but in my mind I'm thinking who the make the beast with two backs runs around trying to buy motorcycles from random people? There has to be something I'm missing.
The latest conversation went like this. I was standing outside a convenient store next to the bike while I was gearing up.
Random guy: Hey man nice bike, hey eh do you want to sell it?
Me: Eh I mean everything has its price. What's your offer?
Random guy: I can't just throw an offer out there man, eh I don't know how about a dollar?
Me: Are you serious? (followed by me laughing at him) If you got 10k to burn its yours.
Random guy: Ah man its a Ducati that's why (and then he walked off)
3 kinds of people engage you under hose pretenses.....IMHO
1) guy who wants to be cool, likes bikes, and has no clue about what it costs to "get into the lifestyle" or anything else surrounding bikes and etiquette
2) guy who is prospecting for to see what kind of reaction he can get for possible less than polite intentions
3) guy who is looking for deals for to make a buck by flipping the bike
granted #2 is the least likely to run into and #1 is the most frequent...I have seen all types at various different situations....and all should be dealt with on their own individual basis and merit...
