Hey all,

Wanted to share my experience with the Schuberth S2 with you.  I've been riding with the C3 for years now with both a 696 and an 1100 both devoid of the little bikini faring "windshield".  The C3 has been great with no problems but I wanted to get a new helmet and read great reviews of the S2 and figured I didn't really need a modular helmet anyway.  So I got the S2 yesterday and rode with it a bit... the wind noise is terrible.  Something about the monster and my height/riding position means the wind hits right at the bottom of the helmet creating this awful noise akin to someone blowing across the top of a beer bottle constantly while riding.  I don't know if the bikini fairing will fix the problem or not yet, but for now I'm going back to the C3 which for some reason doesn't have that problem for me at all.  So if you're thinking about the S2, the monster may not be the right bike for it!

For what it's worth, my C1 is VERY quiet on my 796 with stock headlight, bikini fairing and mirrors. On my T-100 Bonneville it's noisy as all get out. Dirty air compared to the 796. I'm 5' 8" BTW.

Also helps to wear a high collar when it's cold outside as that quiets things down a lot too.
