I see some paint, exhaust, and mirrors. Why exactly would this win the Monster Challenge?

I mean, it is a nice bike, but not spectacular...

nice to see others doing the subframe.
is that the xcentric seat cover or the solo DP seat
the passenger handles look good too
the dp scoop looks cool too

don't like:
red wheels (i thought i would but with the black body nope)
white stripes on red wheels
red number panel
need to black out the light frame
two brothers carbon  vomit
yellow spring
black body with red frame
still having the exhaust valve
stock silver upper triple

Thanks for all the feedback.

Some people believe less is more, but my personal motto is the more mods the merrier. The most appealing aspect of the Monster is the ability to make it unique. While some owners are perfectly satisfied with throwing on Termis and replacing some plastic with carbon fiber, I prefer to make my bike stand out. Naked bikes are particularly hard to customize, and the vast Monster community forced me to push my creativity in order to be different.

I am not a professional bike shop mechanic, nor do I have special access to suppliers or sponsors. I’m just a typical Ducati enthusiast that wants his bike to turn heads. I believe the Monster Challenge is designed to recognize those who aren’t afraid to push the envelope and take chances to give their ride a custom look specific to the owner (performance isn’t as much of a factor). I really feel that there are little to no Monsters out there that have put the same combination of accessories and customization as I have. Sure not everyone is going to like it, and some forum members will even hate it, but in the end it will achieve all that I wanted which is to generate interest and provide others with ideas of how to make their own Monsters personalized to their taste.

^^ This.

OP, don't take stuff too seriously here. Opinions are like Ducati's, everyone around here has one, or more.

You've added an exhaust, painted a few things, and changed the tail.

Congrats, in an effort to be unique and different you've done basically the same mods everyone else does.

ummm, have you *SEEN* some of the other bikes?  same combination of accessories, maybe not. customization (one- off fab) you aren't even close. most of us aren't even close to the levels of kung fu that go on here

anyways, welcome to the board, and you'll get used to the snark 'round these parts  chug

and where's our donuts?

For those of you that think all it takes to have a nice looking Monster is to just add any exhaust, paint some random parts, and change the seat cover you clearly dont have an appreciation for the subtle details that make a bike stand out. I admit that I misused the word "custom" and while the pictures don't really showcase the less obvious mods, I still see few similarities to the bikes on this forum. Anyway if anyone wants to meetup in the NY-NJ area to see for themselves, I'm up for it.

I don't think the Monster "needs" to have anything done to make it look nice.
