I appreciate the constructive criticism (works much better than blatant insults). I realize now that my posts, including the subject line, rubbed everyone the wrong way which wasn't my intention at all. I just wanted to share some the mods that I personally haven't seen on this generation Monster. Unlike Arrick's dream machine, all of my mods are within reach for an average Monster owner and still has a dramatic effect (maybe more negatively than positively). Everyone by me seems to really like what I did, so Im glad to hear what the true Monster experts think ( good and bad).

Not trying to start an arguement here, but really, what have you done that hasn't been done on the newer Monsters? I mean, if they make mass produced parts that you or your local shop put on for you then someone else has to have done it before.
Now, take a look at some of those bikes in the Major Builds Thread. Look at truckinduc! That guy MAKES his own parts  Shocked  drool

Ok, I changed my Avatar to better fit the forum standards. My original one took me to the finals of the Jersey Shore tryouts, but they claim I was too arrogant. Those MTV producers can't appreciate the subtle details and have no taste when it comes to casting! Anyway, the official label of the oil cooling radiator is a Carbon Fiber Air Shroud, so it has nothing to do with the airbox and provides little to no performance value (unlike the airbox kit by MWR).

Like the Seat cowl for sure!  waytogo

But i tend to agree with the other guys that its a little flashy for me, but if that's your personality then go with it! I think that's the point of the monster, its a way to express our inner personalities through steel and engine .....or in the newer generations, plastic and engine...Caugh! Caugh!  laughingdp

But welcome to the forum, and just remember to respect the builders and don't burn any bridges on here... your going to be more than thankful that your not the smartest guy on here when something goes wrong with your bike and  you don't have a Grand to go get diagnostics run...just to see why it has the hiccups lol! They are more than knowledgeable and ready to offer solutions and fixes from years of experience! This is a good bunch of guys, and the pride they take in their machines/mistresses is admirable! Some of these guys would sell their wives before their bikes...so take that into account when you say you have a hotter bike!  Grin (creates more understanding of their reactions)

But all in all it is a nice machine, and your personal enjoyment is all that matters!  waytogo
