So, I'm not the most mechanically savvy guy around, but I understand basics. I have a 2010 Monster 696. My front wheel has a dent in the rim. I've been looking through eBay to find a replacement wheel, but of course none being sold are the same model year. I found:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ducati-99-750ss-FRONT-Wheel-Brembo-17-x-3-5-/110739236298?hash=item19c892a5ca&item=110739236298&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr
but and it says it is a 17x3.5 wheel. Looking up the specs of mine, it says the same. Is there anything else I'm missing on this? Are there more details I should look into or does this look like it should be a clean swap? Otherwise, this seems to be a decent price for a replacement wheel (way better than the $1200 the local shop quoted me... what a joke). Thanks for any heads up on the matter.

Also make sure it is the proper size axle.  Even if it fits, IMO, the money would be better spent having your wheel repaired.

Front wheel for the 696 is a 3.5x17" 25mm axle with 6 bolt brakes.

I would get my wheel repaired, the problem is that it would run me about $100 more with shipping and such. I didn't think about the rotor bolt pattern, thanks for the info/reminders. I'll keep an eye out and see about repairing it still. Find final prices and such. Thanks again for the help.
