I'm coming to Austin shortly (around early June) for a reassignment and will stay until September AFAIK

Been there a couple of times, but didn't really explore the city.  I really like it there and so many potential awesome route for motorcycle.

Actually I'm looking for recommendation for good food, hangout place, etc.

I'm thinking of bringing my bike there but not so sure about keeping it at the hotel parking lot.

Thanks!

nice man!  I wouldn't keep it in the hotel lot, but I'm sure someone in Austin may be willing to let you borrow some garage space, or just rent a storage spot for a bit...

Plenty to do and see around Austin, I'd just start roaming about, although there are definitely places that we could recommend, you'll have plenty of time to blaze your own path

Sight seeing in Austin?
Hmm...... lemme see..
Start with Hippy Hollow.  Grin

Kidding. Austin is a great town. Definitely a great place for both the night time activities and day time out door type fun. You will miss out if you don't get your bike out there.

Hiero's got the right idea. I would defo get a cheapo storage unit just large enough to keep the moto and store it there. There are some great roads in that area and plenty of Moto riders that I'm sure you can meet up with.

You may want to check out Ming's. The old DMF Austin crew made it a regular meet night Wednesdays or Thursdays. Can't remember which day it was. I'm sure you can stop by any day though and just ask for Ming. He's a Ducatista and I'm sure he would fill you in on local bike nights and any weekend rides.

Best of luck and keep it rubber side down.  waytogo

Nice!  Thanks!

I'll be staying around the Anderson Mill area (183 and 45 I believe).  I saw Ming's restaurant and wanted to check it out for dinner, but didn't go.  thanks for all the recommendations.  Yeah I'll be sure keep it in storage though.
