Have a good friend that wants to ride pillion. I do not want her to get on without gear, neither do I want to invest on buying them until I know she is actually up for it.
She is 5'6" 140lbs. Thinking she would need a 52 jacket, 45 boots and L helmet. Going to size her up this weekend and post the exact numbers. Don't think it matters much if they are male/female cuts for the jacket for a couple of rides.

I'm in Jersey City, so it would be nice if you are on this side of the river, but I end up in Manhattan at least once a week..

Thanks!

I have a spare pair of gloves and helmet you could borrow.  They are both sized medium.  I'm in E.Village

I might have a jacket that fits her and plenty of gloves.  I doubt your posted numbers will match what she actually is, especially the boot size.   My helmets are all XS.

52 I meant in Euro sizing..

I use a 52 Dainese and a L helmet. Will check how she fits into those and post back sunday!

I have a First Gear jacket (38 US I think) that no longer accommodates my tummy.  It could be a keeper for you.

Thanks Howie! Would that translate to like a 48 on EU charts?

Don't forget to adjust the rear preload for the additional weight.  You'll get a smoother ride.

Is that a pretty simple DIY thing or should I be taking it to the shop? (Never touched the suspension since I got the bike)

@howie, Let me check how my 52 fits, and that will give me an idea.

I wanted to show you the preload but forgot.  Perhaps you can ask Howie to point it out to you.
Have fun!   Dolph

No worries. Spoke to Howie abt it when we met. Need to get the wrenches first. I've not even had the suspension set for me, its what it came out of the factory.. I'll see how it feels and then try and adjust Smiley
