is there diffrent 2009 monster 696 models?
«

I ask this because when looking at power commanders and some other accessories they show parts for 2009 696's but also show the same part but with diffrent part number but also for a 2009 696. is there something in the vin or options codes where I can make sure I order the correct parts/accesories? possibley because of a change to the bike if built either earlier or later of the year. Thanks for any help, this is my first ducati so dont get on me if this is something I should already know or just stupid

There are some market specific differences..... Specifically what things are you looking for?
A 696 PCV is a 696 PCV, regardless. Even an M1100 PCV is exactly the same hardware (it carries a different p/n only because there are some fitting intruction differences and any pre-loaded mapping is obviously gonna be differnet, but easily overwritten).

Am I missing something, coz if not then this the answer:
Ducati 696 = Ducati M696 = Ducati 696 Monster = Ducati Monster 696.
In some markets there is/was also a Ducati M696+ which included 2 extra pieces of plastic but is otherwise the same as all the other 696s, regardless of if you include "M" or not.........

the + is the standard US version.

I'm sorry to throw a wrench in this conversation, but in case someone thought it was a stupid question. I have a Canadian M796 and I bought a Bazzaz ZFI, I started installing it and found out that I was missing some connections, I phoned Bazzaz and spoke to one guy and he told me the USA Version is different. So far there is no Bazzaz for Canadian M796
I had to return it to out local shop here in the box!!

I don't know why the Canadian version is different, we are all North America!! While on topic, is there a "Fat Duc O2 emulator" for the newer monsters?

It would appear not. Read the bottom line.

Dynojet may or may not have one which works. ungeheuer may know.

When you buy a PCV for M696/M1100 (and so I suppose M796) it comes with 2x "O2 optimisers" which function in the same way as FatDuc for earlier Monsters.... they "fatten" up the AFR by telling lies to the ECU about how lean things are getting down below. I have no idea if Dynojet sells these things separately though.
Canada probably get the same Euro-spec bikes as we in Australia.... (with amongst other minor changes, XLPE fuel tanks instead of the USA expando-nylon)?

I looked at the tank it is made by Acerbis. Yes, there were two O2 optimizers, I have to send the kit back a s a unit. What set up do you have Ungeheur?

All the tanks are made by Acerbis, but they make them of different material depending on their market destination - PA for USA (only?) and XLPE for (all?) others.
I run a PCV+Autotune with reflashed ECU and without the O2 optimisers. So as not to prolong the threadjacking, search "ungeheuer M1100" if you really wanna know more
