In japan they have a very high rate of single person because the all the girls want to have a handsome husband who make at least 60K a year. The problem is that nobody does  !!

Now, they Even tinking about lowering  the income taxes on people how are "uglier"   Shocked  to make it  more interesting for girls to get in a relationship whit them.

that just my cultural note    laughingdp popcorn

Are you for serious? Are you referring to Japan as a whole? Because I would've thought that most people in Tokyo would make more than $60k per year or else they couldn't even reside there. And that income tax adjustment is also a crazy concept!

Price per sqf in many areas of Tokyo, are higher than Manhattan.
So to live there you have to bring home large chunks of cash.  Many do work in Tokyo, but live way out, and spend hours a day in the train to get in/out of Tokyo.
About chicks looking for rich husbands, this post always comes to my mind:

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

There is a very big difference between a university professor / economist (Takuro Morinaga) who likes to appear on variety shows on TV, dreaming up this idea of a "taxe sur les beaux" (or tax on the good-looking) to make himself sound interesting on TV, and actual policy makers suggesting the introduction of such a tax.

This will never happen in Japan, although it would be interesting to see them try to come up with the criteria Smiley

PS: The absolute average income in Tokyo (as in Tokyo prefecture/metropolis) is around 6m JPY, which is roughly 75k USD at the current exchange rates.

Soooo... where are the vending machines with beer and smokes (<--favorite part of japan).

My take on the culture, a lot of the males are pressured to move out get a place to live then find a mate. Where as the women live at home, able to save a ton of money and now have the control of who they date, cause they have the money and make the choice.

New York needs a place like this.  I've been through 3 different apartments in 3 years trying to find a suitable garage.  The best I've been able to do is a damp garage built into a hill with a ceiling that's falling apart and a load of junk that the landlord won't let me throw out.  I'd move to a place like this in an instant.  Wonder what the rent is in Tokyo.

it needs an old school batman style turntable in the entryway so you can pull in, and get off, and watch your bike spin around so you can go straight out to pick up the ladies

glad i read this far.....this was my comment as well.
