DP midpipe fitment

I got my exhaust yesterday, Termi slipon kit and the DP midpipe.  I installed last night, but had many many fitment issues.  First is there is an exhaust leak in the crossover.  But if you get the crossover seated where it should be, the lower pipe is about 1/4" away from the rear tire.  Get the pipe away from the rear tire, and you get an exhaust leak at the crossover.  I can adjust the pipes to work loosely, but once you tighten, it goes right back to crappy!  Anybody else have these issues?  Any real fix?  It's the midpipe giving me problems.  I may just put the udder back on... But would hate to do that!

I friggen frustrated!  Whats worse is there are no instructions with the DP midpipe, and the slipons have horrible instructions.  Not that you truely need them, but a little clarification when you are have all sorts of problems would be nice.

Took it all apart and remounted it.  Everything is lined up properly on the midpipe, but there is still a leak in the crossover. 

And how close are your mufflers to the rear tire?  My lower can is a fingers width away from the tire.  It almost looks like if the suspension bottoms out, it'll hit the tire.

You can use a high-temp silicon sealant.

I had somebody suggest using "exhaust putty" they said they did it on their SV650 and it worked great.  Apparently it's a putty you put around the inside pipe, slip it on and when the exhaust gets hot it seals it up.  I may do this.

Used this to seal up my exhaust leaks last night.  I had leaks where the s-pipes meet the exhaust and where the s-pipes met the mid-pipe.  Has minimizes most of the leaks.

Typical off the rack exhaust issues.
Finding an exhaust that fits,works well and does not leak is like the holy grail. Does not matter what you pay or who's name is on the pipe.
Sorry but a tube of sealant is not a good sign of a well made exhaust. Ducati performance pipes used to have a tube in the box
since termi makes most of the new dp systems , no sealant. You need to get our own.

I'm gonna get some of that and fix the leaks. 

I've been riding it around with the small leaks, and man with the full system and the 14t front sprocket, 1st gear is useless.  Once it his 4k rpm the front wheel just comes up.  It's so fun!  [moto]
