...and through-body sliders are famous for bending Ducati trellis frames...and/or digging in and causing the bike to tumble instead of just allowing it to slide. I'll keep my under-the-body ones.

The way this guy's leg was saved is the same way I could argue that my leg was ripped off (it wasn't but it could have been GAWDAMNIT!!!  Grin) because of frame sliders. My bike's frame slider caught the gap between the curbing and the grass and was sent airborne. Had my leg still been over the bike and maybe somehow my leathers tangled in the opposite side frame slider, it could have hypothetically in theory ripped my leg off.

You can make an argument for and against virtually any aspect of anything. Hell...it's how politicians make a living.  laughingdp
