Apparently 5.3 richter in gippsland.

Reportedly up to 20 seconds duration, seemed like 10-15 here in ferntree gully.

Thought it was the TOG coming to get me after todays hell ride.

not the most violent I've felt here, but 5.3 is plenty enough thankyou.

Yeah we felt it alright, longest one I remember in Melbourne.
I used to live in Newborough, had big ones down there I remember as a kid. Neighbours who recently moved down from Queensland, ran out into the street!

seemed like it went on for way more than 30 seconds here.... and the house (we're on tall stumps on a hillside) continued to move around for quite a while afterwards too.

I used to live in Newbourough, had big ones down there I remember as a kid.
Epicentre was 10km south of Trafalgar apparently, so not very far from your old stamping ground.

Neighbours who recently moved down from Queensland, ran out into the street!
laughingdp  My kids thought it was exciting, but not enough to get em up out of bed.

I did a big long fart on the lounge, the wife said 'I felt that' I blamed the tremor in Vic.  Grin

On a serious note, check your gas meters, an aquaintance in Wallan has a leaky meter courtesy the shake. Soapy water poured over the joints will reveal all.

Very little reported.

I need to get under the house in daylight just to be sure, but I dont expect to find any damage.
