Thread title changed to reflect new info....

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport/sportresults/MotoGP/2012/June/jun2112-honda-motogp-production-racer-in-2014/

So, looks like 2012-level technology available for 2014 season.  Undecided

"Honda hasn’t made available a production racer since it sold its NSR500V as an affordable twin-cylinder two-stroke in 1997."

this isn't entirely true... while it maybe accurate for big gp bikes, i seem to remember honda also sold "production racer" versions of the smaller 2-strokes and the rc-51.

I was also under the impression that you could buy a Moto3 bike for like $25-35k?
