in san francisco
«
on:
June 26, 2008, 10:12:21 AM »
well, i got into san francisco yesterday, from denver.
(and got into denver about 1am on
that
day... it's been a long couple days.)
really wish i was here on a bike. the weather is delightful, and nice roads can be easily come by (unlike, say, kansas). instead, i came here on a boeing 767, and have been enduring taxis.
some observations:
1. i'm sure this isn't
news
, but jesus hell california is
expensive!
2. lombard street is entertaining. i saw a vet clinic, next to a sushi place, next to a psychic reading place. rock.
3. uhm... i guess i just had two.
i really wish i had more time, and money (and a vehicle) to hang out in the city. as it is, this is just a couple days of layover before i head on to korea.
oh, and i saw a 695 last night, parked across the street from some bar called 'the final final,' right near my motel. probably doesn't belong to anybody on here, but figured i'd throw it out there, just in case.
so, what's a guy on a tight budget, and limited time do in san-fran?

Uh, you're pretty much among friends, here. But, uh, don't go asking strangers this question on the streets of San Fran.

Yeah, god forbid you should ask the locals. I mean they might talk to you... Brrrrrrr. Scary.
Sorry sinister, but without a smiley, some people might think that sentence makes you look like a homophobic, inbred prick. I'm mean, it might leave the impression that you're a douchebag or a dickhead, or maybe you need to get your head out of your ass.
Really, all I'm just saying is that when you say certain things, a smiley can really help lighten what would otherwise look like a pretty mean statement

I will, when you start enforcing your own rules.

He used smiley's sinister, that makes it all better.
So you can call anybody any name you want, just use a smiley after it.
It means you are joking.

I will, when you start enforcing your own rules.
He used the same 'innuendo' approach you often do, to stay within the rules while making what appears to be a patently offensive statement.
I guess you don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot.
Honestly, when you start making a *real* effort to stay within the rules, we'll actually give a make the beast with two backs about *your* opinion.

+2 on come to Zietgeist tonight
look for the the non-hipster crowd with leather jackets on and just pour yourself a beer. There will be pitchers and pint glasses. You could get drunk for free if you are a cheap bastard, but its always nice to try to buy 1 pitcher to share
Tamales are awesome and the burgers taste like they have crack sprinkled on them. Your first tamale is on me if you show up!

Adding a smilie at the end would have made you sound like a nicer person (according to DouchebagMonkey
)
