Monster 620 - 2005

Installed MotoDynamic integrated tail light and removed my rear turn indicators. Also installed new ASV levers for brake and clutch. Took off my rear sets and foot brake pedal for powder coating and put them back. Now my tail light works but the brake light doesnt activate. I verified there's no voltage coming to the brake light circuit with a multimeter at the midpoint junction under the side panel by the seat. I do get voltage on the tail light but not brake light when engaging the brakes.

Also high or low beam makes no difference for the headlight . And the blue high beam indicator comes on when the headlight dies. Which I assume is how its supposed to tell you you've got a headlight problem.

start with unplugging your integrated tail light and see what it does. it sounds to me like you might have the wiring all akimbo

yeah I disconnected my integrated tail light and nothing changed with the headlight and front left turn indicator. Wondering if its an impedance issue. My fronts turn signals were already LED and my old rear tail light and turn indicators were LED. I did have resistors in for the old rear LED turn indicators but the new integrated LED came with its own resistor kit so I'm not usin the old resistors. I'm wondering if with this new setup I need to put resistors on the front LED turn signals now. Strange thing is everything that is working is blinking at what appears to be a normal rate so I'm hesitant to assume its a lack of impedance.

try unplugging your brake light switch as the levers may be a factor in that.  otherwise I think you probably just need more resistance in the circuit, although I cant see why that would affect the headlight..

Directionals might be an impedance issue, but not the brake light or head light.  You said you changed the brake lever.  Your problem might be the brake light is always on.  You may have lost the little dowel that shuts the brake light off or the switch may need adjustment.   Go here   http://www.ducati.com/services/maintenance/index.do   Select the parts manual for 620IE .  Go to page 70.  The switch is adjusted by loosening the two screws that hold it in place and moving the switch.  Also follow Roaduser's advise and check your hook up

The blue light simply indicates your high beams are on, nothing more.  Check all connections and the headlight switch.

Everything is working now except for the brake light. The regular tail light circuit works but pressing the foot or hand brake dont engage the brake light circuit. I've determine via voltmeter at the midpoint junction (by the seat on the right side verified the pinouts with the Hanes Manual) that the voltage for the Brake Light isnt coming. So the problem here is I put on new levers which had me messing with the handbrake and I removed my rearsets and footbrake for powder coating. I can see that the footbrake is functionally working in that it comes off the pin when I press it. I also see the two connections coming off the hand brake under the headlight. Is there some way using a multimeter to verify that the switch is closing when press the hand or foot brake on these circuits? The fact that I can see the foot brake pin releasing and the handbrake and footbrake are both not working makes me think its something in between as opposed at these levers. I would just like to verify them since I did mess with them so I can eliminate them as possible causes.

I see that this has been resolved but there was no post as to how it was resolved.
