rearsets for m900

anyone ever used these Flyhammer rearsets? looks like they're Italian (``fra-gi-le''). i DESPERATELY need to find rearsets for my 1999 m900 that can be set LOWER than the stock pegs and also look better than the incredibly ugly stock sets. gladly taking suggestions from anyone else who's found solutions. they also need to run my low cans.
here's the Flyhammer set:
and website, fyi:
http://www.flyhammer.it/shop/en/rearsets/29-ducati-monster-600-620-695-900-adjustable-rear-sets-.html
thought about S&P, but they are so much more than any others and you have to buy the hangers separately. also considering rizoma *with* a lowering kit like the one from desmo times (
http://www.desmotimes.com/product19a.htm
). cycle cat is my dream, but even chris doesn't sound confident they'll be done this summer. i want to ride!

yeah, i think i'll probably go with those, and the lowering bracket. best looks for sure, though the cycle cat rearsets would def work the best and i would trust them most for durability...

The lowering kit will likely, not allow the rearsets you purchase to line up, as our monsters (non S*R or new gen) rearsets have a lower mounting point on the engine as well. I would buy the rearsets you want, and try them out to see if that is enough adjustability. The desmotimes part you listed is only for STs I believe.

i'm not saying i don't believe y'all -- i've come to trust JV posts as gospel -- but this is from the Desmotimes website:

3. Will these plates fit my Ducati?
The plates were designed to fit the ST (ST2/ST3/ST4/ST4S-Non-ABS) series of bikes, but I have also placed them on my M900 (that has rearsets on it), and my '92 900SS.

also, by the way, i do understand what you mean. it doesn't seem like they would fit if between the upper bolts and the lowers unless you didn't bolt to the bottom...? in any case, i'm not ordering them. but i REALLLY NEED REARSETS THAT GIVE ME MORE SPACE!!!
dear god i may become a machinist.

I am quite happy with the Cycle cat rearsets I put on my M900 last year.

We were saying that the Rizoma rearsets won't work with the rearset lowering plates - the Rizoma rearsets for the M900 bolt to the frame and the sump (same bracket piece does it) - if you lower the top with those plates, the bottom won't line up to the sump. So those (Rizoma) are out if you are looking for lower rearsets.

ah, got it. well make the beast with two backs! i want lower foot position, but i also refuse to run high cans. so i am basically sol because...
1. cycle cat (would be perfect) doesn't seem like they'll have rear sets for sale for months
2. rizoma doesn't go lower and can't be used with the desmotimes extension
3. same seems to be true of flyhammer as is the case for rizoma re desmotimes
4. ducabike doesn't work with low cans/doesn't come with an exhaust hanger
5. s&p is ridiculously expensive and unattractive even as the euro gets crushed

s&p would require custom bracketry to lower the hanger and still have the pipe at the right height anyways. (easy to do most likely but not "out of the box").
My suggestion: OEM rearsets (for your low pipes) + those pegs that attach like normal but are lower... I will find picture for you quickly. maybe.

dude, i appreciate it. but i have jjust pulled the trigger on rizoma rearsets. they should do, if not THE trick at least A trick, for now. for sure they will look cooler and be set further back.
someday, when cycle cat gets its lowerable rearsets made, i will buy those and sell the rizomas at a little loss, NBD. these things so rarely come up secondhand (i know, i've been looking for *months*) that somebody will snap 'em up quickly.

that's true. The nice part about the Rizoma rearsets is that you could fab up a lowering bracket yourself for the peg-bracket-attachment and it would not interfere with the frame-sump bracket's connections, nor would it mess with the low pipe hangers.
