So it's in the shop getting the busted parts replaced  bang head .  Since I broke the right front turn signal and right foot peg, are there any spiffy replacements I can have installed versus stock?  Are those urethane frame slide bumper things effective?  Since I dinged the engine cover, is there a replacement that looks better than stock?  I may as well mod it now since it's in the shop.  Is there a higher shift lever I can get installed?  I'm having a hard time getting my foot under to upshift.  Thanks.

Yes frame slidders help.  That's the first thing I do on all my bike, front and rear axle silers and barends too.  Most riders I know usley get them after they drop there bike too.  As for shift lever, I have Woodcraft rear sets which moves you 2 inches up and 1 inches back.  There all plenty of aftermarket clutch cover for your wet clutch, I believe Woodcraft even has one with a built in slider for added protection.

Frame sliders, front and rear axle sliders, Woodcraft rear sets  and barends too

I had an R6 a long time ago and went down a couple times lucky I had my frame sliders, they took the brunt of the fall.

You'd think most shops would tell a newer rider to get them before they leave the lot.  I'll head to the shop on Monday since they don't answer their phones and they're closed on Sundays.  Thanks for the info!

I like T-Rex frame and axle sliders. They are reasonably priced and very decent in quality. I don't plan on testing mine (knock on wood) but have read a few posts on this forum attesting to T-Rex' quality.

I also have Woodcraft rear sets on my 07 S4RS. The [2" up and 1"] back give me plenty of Knee pain and leg cramps.

No kidding on the knee pain. My 696 is not as comfortable as the stock ugly rear set chicken wing looking thing.

for the shifter, it's all about adjustment. when you say you can't get your foot under, do you mean in a lean? or just it sits too low?
the stock is adjustable.

It's too low for me to get my 10EEE boot under.  I had a similar problem with the motorcycle in my training class.  It would be nice to be able to use my heel for shifting.

There's plenty of adjustment built into the stock ones. Give that a go first- adjustments are free.

There's plenty of rear set options but you're going to be spending a few hundred At least. That's not including install

For the engine case
http://www.slingshotracing.net/catalog/ducati-clutch-cover-696-796-848-hypermotard-ms-1200-spoke-p-269.html
- this bolts over the factory one. Not a replacement. As far as I know no one makes a whole replacement cover. Older models did see some that looked the same, but in magnesium. And there were billet ones available too.  Both were prohibitively expensive at over a grand a go.

That company also makes shifter levers that go with the stock rear sets and have an eccentric adjustment at the tip to allow for even more range and find tuning
