Searched and couldn't find it.  Anyone know the offset for the triples on a S4rt? (2007)

What about the triple differences between the S4Rs and the t (ohlins and non-ohlins)

THanks!

i've searching for that info my self, could not find offset numebrs anywhere.
as for rs and r there is no difference in the clamps!50mm up 54mm down)
if you find forks from another model(999,rsvr,1098 etc) contact me to give you the diameter numbers of the forks!
hope this helps!!

Well, at least I know they are the same now :)

I've been looking at getting a set of magnesium triples made for my bike, but I'm having trouble finding the material (I have a machinist).

Thought maybe I could use a 916-998 magnesium triple and somehow make it work.

Anyone ever fitted SBK triples to the S4R frame?  I know we don't have the adjustable neck, but maybe the stem from the monster would work to fit the triples?

AFAIK, the stem diameter on SBKs is different, but I could be wrong.

newer monsters use a large stem similar in size to the superbikes (i think never measured) the offset is very different. you will decrease your trail quite a bit.
I use supersport trees on my monsters to decrease trail and superbike trees have double the offset that the supersport trees have. I have a friend that has superbike (996) trees on his supersport but he plugged and remachined the stem location so the trail change was small.
have fun

Curious, but why would you want less trail?

I was asking about the SBK because I've found a few forged mag triples for the SBK.  Buying one of those and making a new stem is a lot easier than whittling one out of a block of mag (that I can't find right now :) )

In theory less trail = faster tip in (quicker handling)  more trail = more stability (more of as righting effect after the wheel is deflected)

A friend who is running a superbike tree set on his ss also found out you will have to make new steering stops.
