Boxford MA to So. Kingston RI route?

I'm riding subject route and I'd like to avoid a straight I95 or I495-I295 type of ride, even tho it's only 2 hours.
I don't know shit about secondary roads in Mass, about the best route I have is I495-Mass Rt16-RI Rt102.
No need for twisty, I'm fine with some decent speed limit and minimum traffic bs (stop-n-go).
Not looking to 'discover the greater Boston area suburbs'.
I'll be a sat mid-day if that helps.
Any roads / roads to recommend or avoid?

I've got a 5hour slab ride home Monday so I'll get my slab fix then.
