i've used the cheap ones. I keep snapping mine off when I bring the bike inside. if you have cash they suck. if you don't have cash they are awesome.

Had a similar set on my 696. They did the job ok but you could tell the build quality was sub par. The Allen screws rusted too with any contact to moisture.
I'd consider them again for an interim solution. But in the long term I'd pony up for the real thing.

I have crg lanesplitters on one of my monsters and cheapie knock-offs on the other. there is no question the crg's are of much better quality and I have snapped one of the cheapies off when overtightening the clamp.
the cheapies look fine and if you understand you're getting what you pay for, they are a fine option. Just know you're not getting crg quality for a much lower price.

i paid $20 for a set of non-folding CRG knockoffs. i know i'm not supporting the national economy, but at the same time... they work great, are "good enough" for what they are, and have been serving me well for 5 years.

i bought the same pair and to be quite honest, they are good...but the mechanism is not the same as the crg ones, and the folding mechanism is not the greatest...meaning that either you have to tight them to the point that they dont fold, or you'll have to suffer from them not working properly when you speed up on the freeway since they end up folding in.

The bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of the cheap price.

Try Powerstands. Quality is comparable to CRG but a bit cheaper and better than eBay knock offs.

I installed those exact mirrors , needed a little tweeking to get the tension correct so they didn't fold back under speed. I found them very clear , stable with no blurring from vibration , I swapped out the domed nut to get a better range of movement to a nylock.

Just got replacements :-/ my left side mirror was not well attached to the bracket so it would make some noise while riding.
