Thanks Kev.  The fact that you are going for it and getting one of the new V7 Stones without having seeing it in person got me thinking I could do the same.

Aw hell, I bought my last 2 Guzzis sight unseen too.

Well, I SAW a Cali Stone in a showroom before buying my Jackal long distance (and having a WG member inspect it for me before I went to pick it up).

But I'd never even seen a Breva 1100 in person before I bought mine from Jason Speaker and had him deliver it from Ohio in his pickup... THAT was a leap of faith. Not a bad one I must say.

I'm REALLY looking forward to the V7S but, it's a whole other deal than that Griso (as in 1/2 the hp lol).

Well for some reason I took all the reasons why a Griso SE wasn't necessary and threw them out the window.

The best decisions are made that way  Grin

Congratulations Travman, brilliant bike drool.  Also a design from the pen of fellow South African and good friend, Pierre Terablance.

Really?  Terblanche designed a decent looking bike?  Must have been saving that up the whole time he was at Ducati.

Thanks for the congratulations. I hadn't heard that Terblanche had designed the Griso before.  Good to know.

Aha!  I thought that bike was too good for that to be true!

"Moto Guzzi commissioned Marabese Design to style the bike and the Milanese firm's Rodolfo Frascoli is responsible for the Griso's shapes and curves"

Terblanche is the Chris Bangle of motorcycles.

Sorry guys, you are correct.  He did the Moto Guzzi Le Mans prototype series bikes and not the Griso: http://www.vivaducati.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=59&Itemid=72

4 pretty bikes out of 12 isn't a great record for a guy that's supposed to be a top designer.
Ducati had an outstanding lineup in the '90's, and PT bangled it all up in the '00's.  I'm not a fan.

And.... 7 1/2 years later....  I finally succumbed.

In Tenni green, just like Travman's.

Been making excuses not to buy a Guzzi all my riding life, so it's well past time.
