We'll the misses has put her foot down. My pride and joy is on the firing line. I see her point, its hasnt been ridden in the last 6 months but none the less ive been told it has to move on. However i did think a head. I agreed to her wishes, if she signed a document stating that at any time in the future if i wanted to get a bike, i wouldnt be shouted out, told NO and i could pretty much do what ever i liked... She agreed Smiley

Im not really in a rush to sell it, the longer i have with my little baby the better. Its got 12 months rego, new continental tyres, about 40k on the clock, PCIII, termi slip ons, custom wheel paint job, rizoma rearsets, rizoma clutch cover DP Performance clutch plate, rizoma grips, removed cat - and im sure there is plenty more.

My little baby did go down when i was with the OZMOs quite a while ago but no real damage and has been repaired fully.

if anyone is interested, let me know or they can shoot me an email or give me a call on 0415 561 978 (i didnt post this in trading post because that is the realisation that its being sold and a bit to hard to handle right now)

Miss you baby.....

P.S. anyone interested would benefit from writing a letter to me detailing how they would look after it and ensuring it will go to a good home

these photos are oldish, im going to try and get it in the warehouse and take a few studio shots with it.

Im in Sydney. Havent really set a solid price yet, Though having look on Bikesales they seem to go for between 10-12K depending on how pimped out they are.

It comes with original exhaust etc as well.

That's sad news indeed, selling a bike is never fun and selling one for it not to be replaced is less fun.
If you have this signed and agreed too letter from said GLW stating that another bike may be purchased in the future why is this one being sold.
Shouldn't the letter state that you have the right to add to the bike garage in the future and purchase a garage mate for the lonely monster.

By the sound of it things are good if you are talking warehouse (for work) a six month stint on the sidelines isn't that long really, I think mine has just gone 3-4 months between outings. So much so that it actually needed the battery tender attached to bring it back up to living condition.
If you do have to sell I hope that time between bikes isn't counted with fingers and toes.

cheers
Matty...

Oh No! Not you too Cakeman.  Damn this long run of wet weather we've been suffering for the last 2 years.  I bet our bikes would get ridden a lot more if the sun can out more often and then you would feel like selling even less.  Cry Cry Cry

Cakeman, I feel your pain  Cry, you'll be sorry if you sell it. Stop looking at it as a bike and see it as an investment. If I'd kept my first six bikes they'd be worth, collectively about half what my house is worth ( I exaggerate slightly for arguments sake)  It only takes 30 or 40 years and that bike will be worth a fortune !  Surely she will see the financial sense of that.

Or alternatively if you sell now you will realise losses (based on the 'investment' you have made in the bike). When you buy another bike you will be setting yourself up for further losses.

Outcome is the same ... you are better off holding onto your current 'investment'.

that is exactly right! you only lose the money when you sell it, as long as you still own it you haven't lost a cent on it..............
especially when you add the other incidentals like the cost of advertising the bike, and the GST and stamp duty you give the govt. on your next purchase.

surely you put an additional clause saying yes you will "sell" the bike - that is trade it in for an 1199  Evil
