Steady Mirrors

Does anyone have mirror recommendations for a '05 620? My stock mirrors vibrate a ton at certain times. The bars themselves don't vibrate abnormally I don't think. It seems like the mirrors are not that "solid". I don't think it's an engine or suspension issue.
Convex mirrors seem interesting. More visibility sounds nice.
Guess I don't want to spend a fortune, so I'm okay with something modest as long as it's solid.
I would rather not use Bar End mirrors.

I use the Rizoma Dynamic mirrors on my Monster at the moment and have no Vibe issues. I would recommend getting some mirror extenders though if you go with them otherwise you are just looking at your shoulders.

Those are nice mirrors for sure. Rizoma is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for I guess. Is there an online store that is best for purchasing these?
Also, where do you find the needed extensions?

I got mine second hand from a member on this site in the for sale section. If you were going to go new I would use one of the sponsors on here. Jeff at Monster Parts is probably one of the best sellers I have dealt with.
http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/BS080B/Bars-Mirrors/BS080B.html
And you will need these too -
http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/BS715/Bars-Mirrors/BS715.html
Mirror extenders can be found on eBay for cheap -
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10mm-Mirror-Riser-Extender-Adapter-Ducati-S4R-S4RS-MS-/260620096711?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cae2b14c7
I would not recommend any cheap knock offs as I have 'been there done that" and wasted my money. Maybe put an ad in the Wanted to buy section for a chance someone as a pair laying around.

I agree, I have the same mirrors and they are the best I have ever used.

I have the Napoleon Bar end mirrors and they are amazing. No vibe!
And I've seen them as low as 32 bucks each.
I can see very clearly in the mirrors and highly recommend them.

If you are going to get bar-end mirrors look for ones that don't have a rubber insert.

Are these mirrors convex or not? Can someone try and quantify the difference between mirrors that are convex and ones that are not.
Narflar, What is the downside of having a rubber insert? What makes the non-rubber ones better?

The ones I posted above are not convex. Convex ones will give you more view around you. I couldn't find ones I wanted with convex that didn't cost a lot. I've had these for a year now and haven't felt a desire to upgrade to convex mirrors. Just turn your head and look.
I had mirrors with a rubber insert before and they tended to vibrate more. The rubber insert seemed to let it bounce around instead of staying firmly attached to the bar. The same thing is happening with your stock mirrors if you think about it. The long stalks are amplifying the vibration from the bar. If the mirrors were solidly affixed then the vibration would be as bad.

I know you said you didnt want bar ends, but Ive got CRG Arrows and absolutely love them. NO vib/motion blur, great visability, and they took a knockdown with only some very minor scratches. They get a lot of comments too, including a guy on a zx12r that was all hacked into nakedness...he pulled me over yesterday to find out what the mirrors were.

best of luck.

Yeah, I think I've changed my mind about the bar ends. And I have to say. The CRG Arrows look amazing. I would say it's my #1 choice at this point, but the cost is a big deterrent, though I'm sure they are worth it, I can't drop $200 on mirrors at the moment.

Yeah I noticed that too...I'm 90% sure I didnt spend that much on mine...of course I could be wrong, but the unfortunate part is you need the adaptors too, and at around $20 per side it gets even MORE expensive.
I will say my only gripe about them is especially with the factory tapered bars, they make the bike wide as hell...I may or may not have traded minute amounts of paint whilst sharing lanes out in socal.
