Well there is an option if you dont mind dropping some coin.

It's a beautiful ride up Lake Shore Drive to Sheridan Road then you take that almost all the way up essentially riding up the lake past some of the most beautiful homes you've ever seen. Takes longer than just taking Highway 41 all the way up but its so much more beautiful and fun.

I will also be driving there this year.  It's a good time though, and people bring the coolest bikes.  The first time I saw a Vincent on the road was at this event.

Shit... should'a told you about Motorcycle Mondays at Five Star Bar on Chicago Ave. First Monday of every month. This month was Italian night. Great turn out. Lot's of Guzzi's and of course some beautiful Ducatis as well as some beautiful British bikes and cafe racers!

You should check out Motoworks on Western in Chicago just south of the Eisenhower Expy (290). They carry Ducati and Triumph and are real nice guys. They'll let you test drive bikes too. (unlike MCC in Villa Park). That being said you should go to MCC in Villa Park this sunday for Vintage Bike Show hosted by the Vintage Norton Owners Club. This is at the Ducati/Triumph dealership MCC in Villa Park. I'm definitely hitting this. Link with info is below. Starts early ends early.
