Hi;

After having some seemingly standard issues with my new '07 Monster 695 (Dark), I decided it would be great to install the Termi kit everyone keeps talking about. Very expensive, but so very worth it.

Now, I have two questions:

1. How do I find out if the dealer unplugged the oxygen (o2) sensor? Is it still required with the new DP ECU?
2. What's with this drain tube I've never seen before hanging kinda loose?

Thanks!

1.  I don't know.  The two monsters I've had were pre 02 sensors

2.  IF it's black, it's probably the tank vent/breather.  They may have removed your tank to better get at your ECU and when they put it back they didn't put that hose back exactly where they found it.

IF it's clear, that's from the battery - but the same logic applies.

Just have a look around and find a route than makes you happier.

Easiest way is to get down and have a quick look all over your Exhaust, see if you can spot a sensor coming out of the Exhaust/Header pipe with wires coming out of it.

If no, then your Exhaust sensor is gone.

My 07 S2R 800 came with a Sensor, But when they cracked open the shipping crate for my bike the first thing the Head Mechanic did was remove it and throw it in the bin. He is now in the habit of remove it before he even starts any new S2R series bike, plug in his Ducati computer, tell the computer it's not there, all problems solved.

It's never popped or farted on Decel and runs fine (The bike I'm referring to, The owner on the other hand...)

What does the Mechanic do to get around the yellow check engine light on the instrument cluster?

where is this tube?

if you bought the high pipe kit, they will have removed your emissions can to make room for the S pipe on the right side. instead of linking the two lines from the tank, they may have just left them seperate.

You can see my O2 sensor here:

The dealer should remove it with the new DP ECU.

And I agree with Teddy on the hose, I think it is from removing the emissions canister.

Sorry for the confusion.  The picture was taken after I put the pipes on but before I had the shop install the new ECU.  The O2 sensor is now disconnected.

Cdawg, He plugged in his Ducati Adjustment computer into the ECU, told it the ECU it now had no Oxy sensor
He said the ECU in my bike was part of a new design they were sending through with easy map adjustment/replacement.

He did that before they even started the bike for the first time when received from the Importer.

They do it on all the 2 valve monsters since the new ECU's started to trickle through to them from December last year.

Never had a problem from day 1, so must have worked!
