My uncle recently sold his GoldWing to someone and shortly after received an email from him with this photo. The guy said he was cruising at 65 mph when a deer jumped out in front of him. Really sad to see the bike like this but luckily the guy walked away unharmed. (dont know if or what gear he was wearing)

Pretty amazing he walked away.  I doubt a smaller bike would have had the same result.

Glad the rider is ok.  A guy in my area was killed when he hit a deer yesterday.  I got one with my car last year.  If I was on my Monster I would have been in big trouble.

Holy smokes! The guy punches the deer with his right hand, takes a tumble, gets back on his bike and rides off to finish the race. Did the riders name happen to be Chuck Norris?

In that video the deer actually hits the guy, not the bike. I'm sure it sucked, but a small distinction none the less.

It's an exclusive club with generally painful initiation dues. The doe that got me came out of the woods at full throttle and hit me in my front left turn signal. Not only are they stupid but their timing sucks.

I grew up in the north east and every couple years someone would be killed because they hit a deer with their car and it came through the windshield killing the driver or a passenger.  I saw a car hit a deer once at highway speeds.  Wasn't pretty and the deer lost that one but the car was pretty fuxored too.

A guy I work with hit a deer in the 70s on his motorcycle.  He walked away with relatively minor injuries but the bike was totalled... as was the deer.  They are stupid creatures.

There was a vid not so long ago where a bike cuts a deer in half. So it happens a lot more than we'd like, but it's not a guarantee death sentence
