Howdy,

Just had a guy back into my bike. He was very stand up about it and paid for all the damage (need more like that in this world). I'm about to replace the exhaust that got all scraped up. I had Ferracci carbon fiber slip ons and love the sound, but I was looking around and saw some Leo Vince for roughly the same price. I kind of like the looks of the Leos but have never seen or heard them in person. Anyone want to share their thoughts on either of these pipes?

Well - FBFs are just re badged pipes from someone else.  At one point they were SIL Moto pipes with the SIL sticker replaced with a FBF one.  I had a set like that.  I think the current FBF stuff is made by Forza FWIW

Leo pipes are reported to be high quality, so I doubt they would disappoint

Personally I'm currently digging the look of the MIVV 'GP Style' low mounts.  Photos

I agree with Yuu on the MIVV suggestion (assuming "diffing" means "like" or "into", I must be getting old).  The MIVV's sound great and are at a very competitive price.  Also, pjsparts are great to do business with.

Actually that was a typo that I fixed.  I meant digging.

I just spoke with my Duc dealer  and they seemed to think FBFs are still Sil Moto and they carry those anyway. They also say SIL Moto has improved their CF, not sure what they ment by that though.   I'm going to go there tomorrow and see if they've got any examples.
Never heard of MIVV before so I checked them out. Got to say they do look really great, thanks!  Also I was reading about GPR and they sounded sweet. Someone I was talking to, seemed to think the CF on the Leos where a different weave then most, she didn't care for it herself, but I haven't seen them

Check out Remus, too, if you can.  Nice and deep without lots of noise.

For a while Remus was the manufacturer for Ducati Performance branded exhausts.  So if you get some DP cans, they might well be Remus - though they will be older.  It's been a few years since Remus made for DP

Judging by this picture from their website, I'd say FBF is now rebadging Arrow exhausts for the S2R's.  That's a good thing.  I have the old style FBF's (rebadged SIL motor) on my S2R and they are great.   waytogo

Thanks everyone for your input. I've decided to go with SIL Moto. I was very happy with the sound of my old pipes, good base rumble, loud but a touch quieter than a HD. So now I'm just cutting out the middleman FBF, though I never had any complaints with them either. Supposedly SIL has improved the finish on their  CF, making the glossy finish  longer lasting. So I'm told. They should be in next week. Looking forward to getting them (like xmas in July) Prezzies I love prezzies.

Thanks
