Irish summer time
«
on:
August 10, 2012, 12:55:30 AM »
A few days ago the summer began in Ireland the sun shone for the first time in what seems like months so I hastlily organized a wee road trip out the Dingle peninsula the round trip is only about 100 mile but the views are stunning and the roads are tight and twisty and dry just what the doc ordered. So here are a few pics of the run hope you enjoy them.
The next parish is New York that way.
These are the Blasket Islands just of the South west coast of Ireland the most western point in europe next stop the USA.

Driving on the wrong side of the road is one thing, but riding on the wrong side of the road is just scary. I rode when I was in Japan and almost ran head-on into traffic a few times.

Thanks for the photos. They cheer me up as its a dark cold winter here this year.
It's been over twenty years since I've been there. Good people and good beer.

If anybody is going to visit pm me with time of trip and I'll try and meet up. I know that most people who come to Ireland never get very far from Dublin but the west coast is the most beautiful part and well worth the effort to to get there.
