This is what I pulled from the InterWEB. Might be the right story.....might not.....
**********
A Rockville man died from injuries suffered when he was thrown from a motorcycle he was driving Sunday night on Great Seneca Highway in Gaithersburg, county police said in a news release.
Saharath Rochanavichit, 41, of the 13500 block of Oriental Street in Rockville, died of his injuries at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, police said.
County and Gaithersburg city police as well as county fire and rescue units responded to a report of a serious collision about 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, the release said.
An investigation by county police's Collision Reconstruction Unit determined that Rochanavichit was northbound on Great Seneca Highway near High Gables Drive when, for reasons that remain unclear, the 2009 Ducati motorcycle he was driving struck a curb on the right side of the roadway, police reported.
Rochanavichit was thrown from the motorcycle and struck a light pole on the right side of the road, the release said.

That's gotta be it, thanks. RIP dude. The 1098's are really unsafe in the dark, I can never figure out why - something about the acceleration and headlights make you think you have more time than you do, but you don't. I've almost torpedo'd into things too many times, don't ride it at night anymore. 2 died on a 1098 at night I think last year.

one of my customers who lives VERY nearby to where that is says 2 things are common occurances there( I live practically right there also FWIW)...1)people use that open stretch there to open up and stretch the legs of their various performance machines...2) Deer go prancing across the road there all the damn time...usually it is a fast and the furious kind of car that gets wasted by Bambi or tossed and rolled into the median trying to avoid them....people are mostly unharmed and get treated at the hospital or walk away....my guess...bike + high velocity + bambi prance = bad choice in avoidance manuever to ejection death... sad, but real...
