Shiny stuff?
(Maybe Doug Lofgren's "varmit theory" is true)?

bump for a status check on this project (I know Kevin and his machines are busy, just wondering if he's got a target for production or a better idea of the commitments/first-batch pricing yet)
.... patiently waiting, but anxious nonetheless

The machine these will go on is very light in October. Perhaps even before that.

If I had to guess, I'd think TiN would come in around and extra $100 ea with shipping. I know a coater about 2 hours from here. I don't think they can do DLC (diamond like coating, right?) DLC would be more than TiN
If you have to have it coated, I'll look into it for you. Let me know. Also, I don't think the TiN they do is like what you see on fancy forks (all shiny and what not) TiN is sort of a dull yellow/ gold. Kinda ugly, really. So if that's what you want, I don't know if I can help with it.
As far as who wants an axle, add your name to the list below. This is for 17mm rears only at the moment and for folks that are for sure in on the deal.

JV:
As I recall you're at AMS? If you don't have a DFW area metal finisher you like, maybe the guys at
CMT in Round Rock near Austin
can help you out with your plating / coating requirements.
Any chance you can make it to the CMRA races at Eagles Canyon Sep 29-30? Drop me a PM and I'll sign you up for free gate entry as my guest, then you can come by Racer Registration and we'll finally meet

Sorry, that was for JV, I'm pretty sure he's in Dallas still?
But hey, Kevin, if you can make it to any
CMRA event let me know and I'll definitely get you the pass

ah, no longer in DFW (was there for just 3-4 years). Currently a patent attorney in scenic nashville, tennessee (home town)
No big deal on TiN / DLC - though I think I've heard DLC is easier/cheaper to do than TiN when I was researching this a couple of years ago, not sure who I had talked to though - I could always look it up again (but its not that big o' deal). DLC is pretty sexy with it being all black and stuff.
