Thoughts? TLC ideas?

Needs a new clutch pack and some dzus fasteners. Anyone have some extras?

Frank you need to keep the bike on the track to be considered a weapon, but either way we can call it a butterknife for a while.

Here is some real advice:

I would honestly stick with a "big 4" Jap bike for a track bike.  Kawi, Suzuki, Honda or Yamaha will be cheaper to fix, find spare parts and aftermarket.  If you are at the track and need a clipon or rearset lots of us carry spares and you can be back on the track in no time.  If you decide in the future to get into racing you get limited with certain bikes too as far as classes go.

Below are my suggestions:

I'd go with this if you are gonna spend 4k

If you don't mind a bit of travel this is a real clean one

Not bad for a little trip

or if you want to spend a little more\

I pretty much agree with what Randy said about track bikes.

But a 749S at that price ... I'd hit it like an epileptic blacksmith!  laughingdp

I think I have some Dzus fasteners...if I can find them. Quantity needed? 6? You're on your own with the clutch pack.

A man of action! I like it. What's up with the footpeg? Looks like a standard track peg somehow bolted to a stock bracket? I'd make sure that's good. Otherwise bike looks pretty nice to me.

That's a 6mm valve stem model, so be aware that at valve adjust time it may cost more.
