reminds me of this red bull f1 video...not sure if its programmed or just the driver with his right foot, but the engine revs so fast they can literally play the national anthem on it - plus it's in jersey and that's awesome too.

Now that is freaking awesome. And its programmed. You can see the guy with laptop. If it were a driver with his foot that would be ridiculous.

The National Anthem was my first out loud laugh of the day.  Too cool.

this is why they were there:

they're bringing formula 1 here to NJ in 2013 i believe, and they were doing this promo running the red bull f1 car through the lincoln tunnel. I got to stand outside the helix and watch - you could hear the car literally from one side to the other..i think he got up to 190mph in there..

im pretty sure f1 is the only thing cooler than motogp...those cars are ridiculous

There's a number of films floating around of F1 engines running through 'song' programs. One I saw was bench running and they get the headers white hot...

Apparently the renault tech guys were fond of using the Brit nat'l anthem

Going through the Gotthard pass tunnel (17km) i had to run at a higher gear because I noticed cars were falling back further and further to get away from my exhaust note  Evil

If you ever get the chance, listen to a Top Fuel engine in the pits. There is absolutely zero spin up, zero spin down. Not to mention it is a sonic assault on your body and the nitro fumes sting your eyes and nose. Great fun.

I was going to mention this. They're like a light-switch, they're just suddenly running at the limiter - no revving up at all, just from idle to BRAAAAAP! And back to idle.

As silly as straight-line-racing might seem, Top Fuel Drag motors are _amazing_ things. Absolutely amazing - if you've never seen/heard/felt/smelled them as they launch from somewhere near the start line, go do it sometime.
