I'm thinking it's time for some grippier rearsets and would like some feedback from anyone who has experience on the matter of rearsets in general. A local dealer has some Lightechs in stock. Any opinions?. They are for the 1098.

Thanks.

Don't know if many of us have used Lighttechs as they don't make much for Monsters.
I know a friend who did have them on his 1198s trackie and had no complaints.

Rizoma have usually been the best choice for most of us Monster riders as they make rearsets for most models.

Yep +1 for the Rizoma rearsets on my M1100. Very comfortable, highly adjustable peg positions and very good shifting positioning options. Not cheap but they look good and are quite minimalist in powder black and silver brushed alloy.

If its just grip you're after, you could try Oberon foot pegs. I changed mine and the difference was fantastic. Much cheaper too  than a full set of new rear sets.
If it's positioning or bling that you're after, rizoma's are quite special.
