i would LOVE a frame mounted cup holder with a strap for various size mugs. why? so i can make coffee/tea, throw it in my mug and strap it then ride to school/work and then have my drink there.

Morning is a rush. From just waking up to getting out of the door is like a race against time, and time always wins....

I would look into making products that work with accessories that most people already have.

First thing that comes to mind is creating a convenient, low-profile, functional mount for the iPhone 5. Not many have it yet so there's room for creativity. I would like to see something that allows the phone to be hidden (off the handlebars) but still close enough that you can run ear buds. Marine stereos sometimes have weatherproof slips for iPods that might serve as a good starting point. Don't have to have a gaudy case for the phone, and still keeps it dry.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

I see your point, but have a couple of arguments:

1.  While I can see using the phone as a GPS, I don't like having the phone detached from my body.  In the event of a wreck, I'm not going to want to have to drag myself over to wherever my phone is, if it's even in one piece.
2.  Many tank bags have waterproof map compartments on the top which would suffice.
3.  While I haven't done much research on the 5, the 4 has many waterproof options from otterbox and a few others, I believe.
