I just purchased a NGR clutch hub drum and wanted to know which components from the OEM hub assembly should be transferred over to my '94 M900. I've searched several threads in the tutorial section and I believe Slide Panda's how-to states to transfer the O-ring so I'll transfer it unless otherwise stated. I'll also re-use the hub nut, but I'm not sure if I should use the locking washer. If someone could chime in I'd greatly appreciate it! Back to eating my morning [bacon]

I think I found my answer in the following - my google-fu was weak this morning.

Next time I take it out, i'll weight it.

I re-assembled the clutch and fired up the bike. I put the bike in 1st gear, heard the click and let out the clutch lever but the gear didn't engage. It was like the bike was in neutral even. Not sure what to do at this point. Also, the NGR hub doesnt have a slot in one of the post like the OEM hub so how do I know how to align the pressure plate correctly? Any suggestions?

Sounds like you don't have it lined up right.

Just take it off and keep turning it until you feel the splines engage and the pressure plate slides all the way in. It can definitely be felt

Ok, i re-oriented the pressure plate so the splines engaged, but no luck yet. Just for reference, I did not install the spacer with the new hub. The hub nut and the locking washer are the only things securing the hub drum. Any other suggestions?

When you pull the clutch lever does the pressure plate move?

Yes, the pressure plate moves when I pull the clutch lever.

Can you take a pic with the springs installed?

Also you mentioned leaving out a spacer. What does it look like, and where did it go?

I don't think the parts you left out are the problem, although the spacer may help locate the o-ring.

Are the plates under spring tension when the lever is released?

Yes I believe so. I secured the hub nut with a breaker bar - could this problem occur if I didn't torque it enough? No clutch problem before the install and i was careful to re-install the pressure plates in the correct order.

I don't think it has anything to do with the torque or lack of.

I think it has something to do with the way the pressure plate fits.

Do you have the stock pressure plate to try?

Out of curiosity...why did you leave out the pieces you did?

Nope, I don't have stock pressure plate to fit it. I decided to leave the pieces out only because someone with the same hub drum did the same thing.
