Unbelievable.  Decided that since kidlet had been living with zooom and I since June 2011, it would be worth filing for full custody.  Did that back in February but the ex would never take the papers - finally he got the papers in September and now he hired an attorney.  Seriously?  WTF!??!!!

He's probably seen her less than a dozen times in a year and she has not spent one night at his house.  All of sudden, he has decided he is "father of the year" and is taking her to the beach for a weekend and wants to fight me on custody.

Asshat. Roll Eyes

sorry - just venting.

Yep - talk to Stats. He's got to know some folks as he's got to cross path with lawyers in that specialty pretty often and ones who will have their bar cert for your state.

Sorry to hear about this, sending thoughts, karma, popcorn, anything good your way.

BTW, your sig "Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs." seems very fitting right now!  laughingdp

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Indeed it does!  I've got two referrals for attorneys and we've contacted both to have some initial conversations.  There are fun issues with the ex not paying taxes and not declaring income and not having insurance - all of these things are required by our current agreements. I actually think this could be tons of fun.  But, I'm twisted that way.

Really?  Seeing that the ex does far more nefarious things, I hardly think that Zooom and I being engaged and riding motorcycles is going to have any part of this case but thanks so much for your useful contribution.
