can someone with a black 1100 evo confirm whether or not the black headlight fairing is the same exact diamond black color as the rest of the body work, or if it is more of a generic gloss black?

I don't have a black 1100Evo, but in case its of any help...

On my white 796, the "headlight fairing" is just a generic black plastic.  I assume you're talking about the top portion of the headlight?

Pretty sure they are all painted to match the color of the tank, fender, and seat cowl.

I agree with the "they look better on a shelf" comment though.  Mine has been there for about 6 months now.

I keep going back and forth with this.....I took mine off and liked the look, then I got bored, painted it and put it back on.  I like it both ways...
