You're right, those instructions are missing steps for setting the compression damping. I thought it mentioned that compression damping (unlike sag and rebound) requires a session or two of riding with adjustments in between. However, no additional instructions are given. I turned my in a few clicks from the slowest setting.
BTW, I believe I wrote in that thread that those instructions came from a now defunct webstore/site. So, there's little chance of the author adding to them. If anyone would like to amend them, send me the text.
I watched a video this weekend that was also obscure about compression damping settings.
Ok, one more question. In the article, it mentions that to adjust the compression, you have to look at the bottom of the fork. I dont see anything on my forks where something can be adjusted. I swapped out my s2r800 forks to those of the s2r1000. Can you point me in the right direction or does the s2r1000 forks have no way of adjusting compression?
