Hi Gents,

I bought 696 few weeks ago with only 2.5k on the odometer. After a longer ride I discovered leak from the engine - see pictures

http://postimage.org/gallery/fkocnui/d099db81/

the bike defiantly wasn't crushed or repaired.

Is this common? How can this be fixed? Thanks for help Smiley

Welcome rado Smiley

Very hard to say how it can be fixed without knowing the source of the oil leak.   Your pics all show where the oil is..... but its difficult to tell where its coming from.  When you're on the move a small leak can get flung around far and wide.

No signs of oil around the vertical cam cover?

If the origin of the leak isnt obvious you're gonna need to do some detective work.  Start by thoroughly cleaning the engine and then sprinkle a little talcum power around..... it will help show you the oil trail and may help to trace the source.

seems the most common leaks are coming from the cam covers (check there like ^ he ^ said)
